How to fix rising damp using the Damp-Course Fluid system

Tech-Dry Damp-Course Fluid is a silane/siloxane based impregnant to permeate into wet walls. Once impregnated into a course of brickwork, Tech-Dry Damp-Course Fluid reacts with the minerals present to form a durable damp-course which permanently stops rising damp and damp proofs the wall.

How to install Damp-Course Fluid system

1. Carefully remove any skirting boards present and remove any render or plaster to reveal the lowest course of bricks.
2. At the first mortar line above floor level drill 10mm blind holes on a 45 degree angle at 120mm apart into each brick using a sturdy hammer drill. Vacuum dust from holes.
3. Using Tech-Dry applicator kit insert cartridges and fill each cartridge with 150ml of Tech-Dry damp-course fluid.
4. Once the damp-course fluid has saturated the bricks in a complete horizontal layer, the new damp course is installed and the wall above the damp course will begin to dry out.

How much Tech-Dry Damp-Course Fluid do I need?

Tech-Dry Damp-Course Fluid comes in two quantities: 5 Litres & 20 Litres

• 5 Litres will treat approximately 3 lineal metres of single brick wall (1.5m of double brick-work)
• 20 Litres will treat approximately 13 lineal metres of single brick wall (6.5m of double brick-work)

You will require 1.5 Litres per lineal metre of single brick wall. If you have a double brick wall to treat, you will require 3 Litres per lineal metre.

What size Applicator Pack do I need?

Tech-Dry Damp-Course Applicator Packs are the applicators used to deliver the fluid directly to the brick work. Tech-Dry Applicator Packs are used in conjunction with the Tech-Dry damp-course fluid.

Tech-Dry Applicator Packs are available in two sizes:

• Applicator Pack 30 allows you to treat 3 lineal meters of single brick wall at any one time.
• Applicator Pack 120 allows you to treat 13 lineal meters of single brick wall at any one time.

The Tech-Dry Applicator Packs are completely re-usable.
